About Jim Corbett

    A Himalayan Foothills Located near the Tourist Hill Station Ninitalin Uttararkhand. The Jim Corbett National Park Known for its wilderness with a large Dense moist forest spread Across 1288.31Sq KMs, this Forest covers 73% of the Park and around 10% of the area consists of Grassland housing vast number of Species like Bengal Tigers, elephants, leopards and many more. Basically considered to be the oldest Asia’s National Park formed in 1936 earlier called as Hailey National Park Later in 1945 Called as Ramaganga National Park & Renamed in 1955 After James Edward Corbett The well known as Hunter turned Conservationist of this location. In 1971 Jim Corbett National Park Came under “project Tiger” Launched by Government of India.

Best Way to explore Jim Corbett National Park is Via Open Jeep Safaris through the Multiple Zones of Jim Corbett National Park namely Dhikala Zone, Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Dhela Zone, Garjiya Zone, Durgadevi Zone, Pakhro Zone, Sonanadi Zone. These Zones has different entry points / Gates to access National Park.

Apart Sitavani Zone (also Called as Sitavani Corbett Land Scape Zone – Pawlgarh Conservation) Every zones entertains only limited access of Jeeps per gate details said below, where in per trip indicates a safari between morning session (6.00 am to 9.30 am) or noon session (2 pm to 5.30 pm).

Canter Safari / Day Safari

Canter Day safari is Operational Only in Dikala Zone to visit Core area of Corbett which starts from Ramnagar at 0600 am to 11.30 am in the morning & 11.30 am to 5 pm for the noon trip each vehicle can accommodate about 16 Passengers per trip. The booking to be done in advance online and it will be charged person per trip.

FRH are the accommodation facility available in the National park and managed by the Government of Uttarakhand to provide an opportunity for the visitors to stay in wildlife. These FRH’s are only available via online booking for the visitor only on prior booking.
